A GOOD READ -- ONE AND ALL

Hello again, 546 for summer! We will try one more time to make this work :) If you can post to this page, Great!! If not, we've tried.

You can share a "good read" either for adults or for a student. Please put your name (first only!!!) so we know who is making the recommendation.

One of the more interesting books I've read recently is called The Rook by Daniel O'Malley. It is unlike anything I've read before. Myfanwy wakes up not knowing who she is but with a letter from her former self with instructions about how to discover her identity and track down those who want to destroy her. It is well written and extremely enjoyable. ~Tabitha

I just read this book for book club and couldn't put it down. It's the fictional journal of Sarah Agnes Prine in the Arizona Territories after the Civil War. Sarah is self - taught and the writing reflects that; at first I found that off-putting but then I was used to it. The story is exciting and goes through many phases of her life. Loved it! -- Kaye

No surprise, my favorite book that I think all must read is MIND SET by Carol Dweck. It changed how I think, how I teach, and how I parent. Check it out! :) - Alison Feddes (For whatever reason, I cannot upload pictures this go around.)

I love historical fiction, and one of my favorite authors is Ken Follett. I loved Fall of Giants, the first book in his Century Trilogy, and am so excited for the second book Winter of the World due out in September. ~Betsy
